Call for Papers

Scope

Advances in science and technology are the key drivers and powerhouse of economic developments. Technological developments are currently playing a remarkable contribution in the life of modern society, and scientific knowledge becomes more impactful across numerous domains of society than any time ever. In line with this, Bahair Dar Institute of Technology (BiT) is organizing the sixth International Conference on Advancements of Science and Technology (ICAST-2018).

The conference will be held on October 5-7, 2018 in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. ICAST-2018 provides comprehensive platform for scientists, researchers in the academia and institutes, and experts from the industry to present the latest technological advancements, research findings, innovations, and applications in all aspects of science and technology. 

The conference brings scholars, scientists, and researchers working in different disciplines together to exchange knowledge and experiences. It also fosters generation of new ideas and creates collaborative bridge and network between researchers in the academia and experts from the industry. Furthermore, poster sessions and exhibitions offer multitude of opportunities for exchange of information among scientific community and participants. Professionals from the industry, business, academia, government research and development sectors are all welcome to the ICAST-2018.

Topics

ICAST-2018 covers indispensible issues in science and technology under five different tracks, which are:

  • Agro-processing Industries for Sustainable Development
  • Water Resource Development for the Shared Vision in Blue Nile Basin
  • IT and Computer Technology Innovation
  • Recent Advances in Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Progresses in Product Design and System Optimization

Publication

All registered papers will be submitted for publication by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.

Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).

Authors of selected best accepted and presented papers will be invited to submit an extended version to

Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
